Enispa eosarialis Walker
Enispa eosarialis Walker, [1866] 1865, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus., 34: 1275.
Diagnosis
The wings are a dark vinous grey with some faint yellowish mottling; there is an irregular pale yellow bar postmedially on the hindwing dorsum. The forewings have the costa slightly concave, rendering them rather deep distally, with an acute, slightly falcate apex and an angle at the centre of the distal margin.
Geographical range
Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia.
Habitat preference
The holotype was taken by A.R. Wallace in Sarawak, probably in the lowlands, and there is an old specimen from Pulo Laut. In recent surveys six specimens have been taken in various forest types, including secondary forest, from the lowlands to about 1600m.
