Diagnosis
The forewings are more distinctly marked than in other species in this genus, particularly the dark brown trapezium with whitish edging at the apex of the costa. There is a dark dot and a pale oblique basal streak that runs obliquely from the base of the costa across half the wing towards the tornus. In males, the grey hindwings are bisected longitudinally by a paler wedge.
