Diagnosis
This is a larger species than its congeners, with narrower forewings that are brown marked with pale pinkish grey as illustrated; the most conspicuous feature is a large brown triangle based on the basal two thirds of the dorsum.
Geographical range
Sri Lanka, S. India, Japan, Borneo.
Habitat preference
All Bornean specimens were taken during the Mulu survey, one in lowland dipterocarp forest on the limestone G. Api, one in similar forest on G. Mulu and two at 1000m in lower montane forest on G. Mulu.
