Geographical Range
S. India, Burma, Sundaland, Sulawesi.
Habitat Preference
The species is frequent in lowland forest.
Biology
T.R.D. Bell (MS) has described the larva in S. India. It is earth-brown, more indigo ventrally; the dorsal brushes are chestnut-brown. The brush on A8 is less well developed. The larvae live and feed high in trees, and are detected from their droppings: of frass, cast skins or diseased larvae (parasitism appears to be high). Bell did not record a host-plant, but an unpublished record at FRIM is for Eucalyptus (Myrtaceae).
