Trypanophora anchora Druce sensu Holloway, 1976: 91.

Image of Trypanophora potens Holloway ♀ (holotype)
♀ (holotype)

♀ 20mm. The species has a general resemblance to anchora in facies, but the yellow markings on the forewing of the latter are represented in potens by transparent areas that are much more extensive, reducing the intervening black matrix to the veins, apex and margins. The hindwings are more similar, with yellow patches as in anchora, but the dorsal area and tornus are more extensively black, and the latter is produced into a distinct lobe. The abdomen is ringed yellow and black as in anchora. In the genitalia, the rhomboidal postvaginal lamella is only half the length and width of that of anchora.
