Image of Tipasa obliquiflava Holloway ♂

Tipasa obliquiflava Holloway sp. n.

♂ 12mm.

The forewings are pale yellow with brown fasciation, particularly an irregularly quadrate mark subapically on the costa and an oblique streak from the centre of the costa to the central angle of the distal margin.

The hindwings are uniform medium grey-brown.

The labial palps are not as strongly upcurved as in eubapta, and the male foretibia is broadly scaled distally.

The male genitalia are generally similar to those of eubapta, except the main process of the valve is longer and narrower, and extends further towards the valve apex.
