Diagnosis
This species and the next have a similar facies with pale ochreous ground colour, rather strongly if irregularly curved forewing postmedials and a reniform where there are two conspicuous black dots enclosed in a large B-shape by a fine brown surround. In submicacea the postmedial is somewhat more irregular in course, and the marginal area distal to it is more completely filled with darker grey and brown shading.
Taxonomic note
Poole (1989) placed this species as a synonym of decolorWalker, which it does not resemble (see T. sidonalis below). However, the facies of punctistigma is almost identical to that of submicacea. Sundanian material has the fasciation a little more irregular but is otherwise as in Indian specimens.
Geographical range
India, Thailand (VK), Sumatra, Borneo.
Habitat preference
The only Bornean specimen seen is from lowland forest in the Barito Ulu of Kalimantan Tengah.
