Psilalcis calcicola Holloway sp. n.
♂♂, ♀♀ 16-18mm. The facies resembles that of P. subfasciata but is darker brown, lacking the ochreous tone. The insect is larger than P. conceptaria, the wings more heavily irrorated with brown, and the fasciae are more obscure, less punctate. The male genitalia distinguish the species clearly from subfasciata, with which calcicola shares possession of a pair of setal patches on the basal sclerite of the abdomen: the cucullus lacks a ventral angle; the ventral setose process from the centre of the valve costa is elongate, apically bifid and acute; the apex of the sacculus is produced as a spur rather than terminating in an unequally double hook.

Two have been taken at 1000m in lower montane forest on the sandstone/shale G. Mulu. Not all are included in the type series: some are worn.
