Diagnosis
See O. apparata.
Taxonomic Notes
The sister-species is probably O. spilotis Meyrick (Java, Sumatra, Sumbawa). The two species share similar spining to the upper process at the base of the valve.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
O. submontana* is also only known from G. Kinabalu, but is very much more abundant than the previous two, recorded from 1050m to 2110m.
