Diagnosis

The head-like marking has a rounded rather than acute termination basally, and does not include a white spot. The surround to the marking is much paler than in the previous three species.

Geographical range

Sundaland, Philippines, Sulawesi, Buru, ?Andamans.

Habitat preference

All material seen is from lowland forest, records during the Mulu survey being mainly from alluvial forest.

Biology

A species tentatively identified as pangolina was reared from Terminalia in the Andamans (Bhumannavar et al., 1991).
