Diagnosis

This is the largest Bornean species with the most prominent white spot in the forewing pattern which resembles the head of a pigeon. This spot is anterior relative to its position in other species, and has a bluish area distal to it.

Geographical range

Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.

Habitat preference

The species is frequent in lowland (including disturbed and coastal) forest, but occurs occasionally to altitudes up to 1930m.
