Diagnosis
The general colour is a dull medium brown, with a paler band incorporating the base of the hindwing, the thorax and the forewing costa, where it tapers to the apex, strengthened there by a whitish dash. This dash is continued posteriorly by an irregularly oblique postmedial consisting of an inner fine pale fascia and an outer, more broadly grey one. A similar but even more irregular postmedial occurs on the hindwing.

Borneo.
Habitat preference
The holotype is from about 2000m on G. Murud. In recent surveys the species has been recorded from further montane localities: singletons from 5500ft, 1620m and 2110m on G. Kinabalu; two specimens from 1780m in upper montane forest on G. Mulu.
