Diagnosis
The postmedial fasciae are fine, dark greenish brown lines, only slightly irregular, set relatively distally on the forewing.
The male genitalia have a broad, rounded lobe at the central angle of the costa, and the basal spur is erect.
The saccular process is strong, thornlike, dorsally serrate.
Taxonomic Notes
A female from G. Mulu at 1000m illustrated (above) may represent a further species but it has the dark fasciation of olivata, albeit blacker with the hindwing postmedial more angled.

Habitat preference
Both Bornean specimens readily identified have been from the lowlands: Sandakan in Sabah (the holotype) and Kuching in Sarawak.
