Gyrtona inclusalis Walker
Gyrtona inclusalis Walker, 1863, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus. 27: 94.
Diagnosis
This species is smaller than both the preceding (8-9mm), with a more transverse, subdorsally dentate border to the pale basal zone.
Again, it is most reliably distinguished by genitalia characters: in the male the uncus is short, stout, the arms of the valves closely adpressed with the dorsal one centrally expanded; in the female the bursa has a signum as in proximalis, and the lamella postvaginalis has a semicircular transverse fold.
Geographical range
Borneo, Singapore.
Habitat preference
The type is from Sarawak and there is another specimen from Bidi, a lowland locality.
During the Mulu survey singletons were taken in wet heath forest (kerangas) and at 900m (lower montane forest) and 1200m (upper montane forest) on the limestone G. Api.
