Elusa simplex Warren

Elusa simplex Warren, 1913, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 11: 105.

Diagnosis

This species resembles penanorum in forewing facies, though the tint is more rufous and the costa more bowed. No variant with a white reniform has been seen. The male antennae are diagnostically filiform. The male abdomen has the eighth sternite sclerotised as in penanorum, weakly corematous. The uncus is triangularly spatulate. The valve is ovoid, slightly setose apically, lacking a corema, with a strong, curved, apically bifid harpe. The aedeagus apex has a dorsal patch of coarse scobination; that of the vesica is localised.
