Diagnosis

The male antennae are weakly and evenly bipectinate. The forewings are medium grey-brown. The white reniform variant has the posterior lobe much larger than the anterior one, with an acute, basally directed angle to it. The male abdomen has only weak coremata on the eighth sternite, which is only partially sclerotised laterally. The genitalia are strongly sclerotised, the uncus with strong, acute setose socii directed ventrally from the base. The valves lack coremata and a harpe, are apically acute, incurved, with subapical spurs and flanges, and a field of short, stout setae centrally.
