Elusa diloba Hampson

Elusa diloba Hampson, 1909, Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (8), 4: 376.

Diagnosis

The male antennae are simply bifid, more broadly so than in Elusa puncticeps Walker . The forewings are more variegated than in other taxa, with diffuse broad, medial and submarginal dark brown bands. When the reniform is white, the posterior element is much larger, longitudinally ovoid, more strongly produced basad. The male eighth sternite is much as in puncticeps but with weak lateral rods. The valve is sinuous, apically acute, lacking harpe and corema as in puncticeps; the apical portion is strongly setose. The uncus is flexed downwards, acutely and strongly bifid.
