Diduga barlowi Holloway sp. n.

♂♂ 4mm. This is the smallest Bornean species, with a distinctly angular inner margin to the forewing pale yellow border, including triangular elements at the dorsum and from the costa at one-third. The male antennae are ciliate, and there are no secondary sexual pencils or androconia. The male genitalia have valves of the short, multiple, asymmetric type, but with the processes much less asymmetric than in ciliata.

BRUNEI: 300m, Ulu Temburong, rainforest, (H.S. B[arlow]) Oct.1978, BM arctiid slide 5054.

Paratype ♂

BRUNEI: 50-100ft., Badas, Agathis/swamp for./secondary vegetation, 27.ii. 1982 (G.S. Robinson).

Geographical range

Borneo.

Habitat preference

Both specimens are from forested areas in the lowlands, one with some disturbance.
