Taxonomic Notes
The species has a number of subspecies with distinctive male genitalia. The Bornean race brooksi Fletcher also flies in Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra.
Geographical Range
Oriental tropics to Sundaland and Philippines.
Habitat Preference
Records during the Mulu survey were mainly from hill dipterocarp, alluvial and limestone forest in the lowlands, though two specimens were taken at 1000m in lower montane forest in G. Mulu.
