Boradiopsis harmani Holloway sp. n.

♂ (holotype)

♂ 12mm.

This species is very similar in facies to bipartita and can only be distinguished by dissection. In the male abdomen of harmani, the eighth tergite is pinched up on the distal margin into a central x-shaped structure. The sternite has a sclerotised distal margin that is obtusely angled centrally between two slight concavities. The angle itself has a slight notch flanked by weak, square processes. The genitalia have a broad uncus, flattish distally between two diverging lobes. The valves have a downcurved, rather spatulate upper process and a shorter, triangular lower one. The saccus is nipple-like. The male abdomen of bipartita has the tergite only slightly ‘pinched’, the curved ridges being well separated. The margin of the sternite is biangular at its centre. The genitalia in bipartita have the uncus narrower, the sides slightly convergent rather than strongly divergent. The dorsal part of the valve is straight or gently upcurved. The saccus is longer with an apical bulbosity. The aedeagus is less strongly flexed basally and less produced apically.
