Boradiopsis bipartita Walker comb. n.
Soritia bipartita Walker, 1862, J. Proc. Linn. Soc. (Zool.), 6: 99.
Diagnosis
The facies is as in the generic description, with the two distal fasciae of the forewing distinct, running roughly parallel to each other in their sinuous course. The hindwing border is well developed. The features of the male abdomen are described in the diagnosis of Boradiopsis harmani sp. n..
Geographical range
Borneo; Endo & Kishida (1999) also included Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra, but these records would need confirmation by dissection.
Habitat preference
The original material, a male (OUMNH: 205), was collected by A.R. Wallace in the lowlands of Sarawak. Three further specimens have been taken in recent surveys in an area of dry lowland heath forest on sand, dominated by Gymnostoma (Casuarinaceae) in Brunei.
