Diagnosis

The distinctive feature of this species is the pale band arising at one third on the forewing dorsum and grading away obliquely towards the reniform.

Geographical range

Burma (E. Pegu), Andamans, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.

Habitat preference

In the survey of the G. Mulu National Park the species was taken infrequently in lower and upper montane forest on G. Mulu but more commonly at all altitudes on the transect of the limestone G. Api, especially in the lower montane forest at 900m. A single specimen was taken at 1618m in upper montane forest on Bukit Retak, Brunei.
