Diagnosis

This is a large species, mostly black, with hindwings that approach the forewings in area. All wings are marked with white along each side of the veins at the distal margin, though this varies in development and may be more evident on fore- or hindwings. Interior to this may be a sparse array of white dots and sometimes some blue ones on the hindwing basal to those. The general effect resembles the facies of some Euploea butterflies, as in some Cyclosia.

Geographical range

N.E. Himalaya, Sundaland.

Habitat preference

The species is not represented in recently collected material available to the author, but appears to be widespread in Borneo.
