Cruxoruza Hollowaygen. n.
Genus Details
Type species: decorata Swinhoe comb. n.
The facies of species in this genus is similar to that of Zurobata fissifascia except the costal band tapers distad, and the white mark to the margin at M2 is a fine, straight line that extends well basad from the submarginal. There is also a similar white line into the margin of the hindwing at M2.
The definitive features are in the male abdomen. The apodemes of the basal sternite are obtusely angled, fusing together into an “X” where the apices of the angles meet centrally. The sclerites of the eighth segment are broader than in Zurobata, both with shallow, obtuse apodemes anteriorly, but the sternite is shallowly notched as in Zurobata. The genitalia have the valves rather broad, with a transverse process at about two-thirds similar to that in Eugnathia Warren (p. 112).
The female genitalia have the ostium set within the eighth segment anteriorly, with an elongate, apically bilobed process ventrally that extends posteriorly almost to the anterior of the segment; the apodemes are short and may be associated with slight pockets (the new species described below). The ductus bursae is narrow, unsclerotised, but the much broader neck to the corpus bursae is at least partially so, and this section gives rise to the ductus seminalis on only a very small appendix. There is a slight coil to this basal section before it broadens out into the ovate distal section. This has a ring of scobination encircling it subbasally.
In addition to the two species in Borneo, C. reticulata Moore comb. n. (Himalaya, Java) also has the diagnostic features of the genus and a similar facies to the type species.
