♂ (holotype)

Turnaca altipunctata Holloway sp. n.

Diagnosis

♂♂ 20, 22 mm. This species is indistinguishable externally from punctata but in the male genitalia the valves are shorter, deeper, the gnathal processes broader, slightly spatulate, the aedeagus apex scobinate, and with the vesica bearing a weak, lobed cornutus and a cluster of slender, deciduous cornuti. The eighth sternite is markedly bilobed with a large cleft separating the lobes. The species is undoubtedly the sister of punctata.
