Diagnosis
The forewing facies is similar to that of congeners, but the hindwing is distinctive, being brown with a pale yellow border; the abdomen is dorsally brown but otherwise yellow. Typically the brown of the hindwing is crossed but not divided by a pale blue band, but this is weak to absent in the Bornean subspecies.
