Diagnosis

See the generic account. The species is darker than M. mopsa and has generally less excavate forewing margins and a prominent, lunulate, white orbicular stigma.

Geographical range

N.E. Himalaya, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo.

Habitat preference

A single specimen has been recorded from a Pinus caribaea plantation in the lowlands of Sabah near Brumas.
