Diagnosis and taxonomic note
The wings are pale grey with irregular blackish fasciation and markings. The hindwing postmedial is more irregular than in rufipicta and is not delineated with white; the area immediately basal to it is suffused black. Nevertheless, it cannot be excluded that ionodes represents the female of rufipicta.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
Only the holotype is known, a female from Kuching in Sarawak.
