Diagnosis
Both sexes have dark reddish brown forewings with darker striae and a pale bluish grey speckled streak bisecting the apical angle.
The male forewing margin is rounded, that of the female centrally angled.
Geographical range
Sri Lanka, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi.
Habitat preference
This is a lowland forest species that extends weakly into the lower montane forest zone at 1000m. During the Mulu survey it was more frequent in alluvial forest.
