Prolophota mjobergi Prout
Prolophota mjöbergi Prout, 1928, Sarawak Mus. J. 3: 196.
Diagnosis
This is a slightly larger species than trigonifera with similar facies, but has a more irregular and diffuse medial fascia to the forewing. The hindwing postmedial is more strongly curved and dentate. In her original description, Prout noted differences in the venation, in particular the forewing cell being longer and that of the hindwing shorter than in trigonifera. In the female specimen (see below) there is an areole to the forewing, absent in trigonifera.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
The holotype male was taken in the vicinity of G. Murud in Sarawak, but lacks precise data. A female has been taken at 270m in lowland forest on the lower slopes of the limestone G. Api, just west of the Melinau Gorge.
