Diagnosis

The general colour is a dark greyish brown with irregular, paler fasciation. The postmedials are broken, with black lunules on the basal side of the fascia; these are strongest towards the dorsum of the hindwings. On the forewing, the submarginal is close to the postmedial over its posterior half but then diverges from it towards the costa to enclose a triangular space that contains smaller blackish triangles within its posterior and basal angles.
