Diagnosis

This is a species similar in size to *homospila but a greenish brown colour. The male has straw-coloured hair pencils directed backwards on each side of the thorax and lateral tufts of a slightly paler colour on each side of the genitalia. The postmedials are rather sinuous, fine, darker, that of the hindwing distinctly concave over its central portion and linear rather than lunulate as inhomospila. See also the next species.

Taxonomic note

The two taxa brought into synonymy are based on different sexes, combusta on a female andcristata on a male. The facies of the two holotypes is indistinguishable.

Geographical range

N.E. Himalaya, Sumatra, Borneo.
