Diagnosis
The blue and black pattern is similar to that of Longicella mollis, but the white markings are diagnostic.
Biology
Sevastopulo (1941a) noted Cissus (Vitaceae) as a larval host-plant.
Taxonomic Note
There is material of Ophthalmis milete from Kalimantan on the mainland of Borneo in the Muzium Zoologicum Bogoriense. In Peninsular Malaysia, the species is common in coastal forest of the Kuala Selangor Nature Park.
