Ophthalmis Hübner

Type species: lincea Cramer.

This is a genus that reaches almost its most westerly extremities in Borneo, being represented in the very south and very north of the island, thence eastwards from the Philippines and from Sumatra and Java. Its most easterly locality is in the Solomons. The two species recorded from Borneo illustrate the extremities in facies exhibited by the genus as currently recognised. Revision is needed.
