Naarda kinabaluensis Holloway sp. n.
Diagnosis
♂, ♀♀ 9-10mm. This species has labial palps that extend forwards about four times the length of the head, much longer than in any other Bornean species. The facies is somewhat as in barlowi except the forewing discal spot is more rounded, less lunulate, and is accompanied by a small pale orbicular dot. There are also punctate white submarginal and marginal markings, and all the wings have more obvious fine, dark, irregular fasciae. The male genitalia have a broad, rather scoop-like uncus, and the valves are simple, tapering and quadrilateral as illustrated, much shorter and more robust than in barlowi. The aedeagus is narrower than in barlowi, and its vesica lacks a cornutus.
