Taxonomic note

The original description does not specify type depository, though female material in BMNH fits the illustration, description and type locality exactly. A probable male from the Danum Valley area of Sabah is also illustrated, but the male syntype of pumilia is darker, with the marginal yellow much narrower. The genitalia are similar, however.

Geographical range

Borneo, Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia.

Habitat preference

The original material was from the vicinity of G. Kinabalu. The male illustrated was taken in primary lowland forest at 170m near the Danum Valley Field Centre, Sabah.
