See Metaphoenia scobinata Holloway. The costal process of the valve in the male is not bifid apically. The female has a distinct zone of sparser scobination on the eighth segment on each side of the ostium, and the pair of pockets in the pouch anterior to this are associated with patches of denser scobination.
