Maguda multifasciata Swinhoe

Diagnosis

This is a larger, darker species than suffusa, with more irregular, zig-zag postmedials and weaker medials. The forewing discal spot is slightly more pronounced. In the male genitalia, the valve corema is slightly doubled, and there are two slender processes basally, one much longer than the other. This longer process is sinuous over it apical half.

Geographical range

Burma, Sri Lanka, Borneo.

Habitat preference

Only eight Bornean specimens have been located. Two have no more precise data than Sarawak. A third is from G. Marapok in Sabah. The remaining five are from the lowlands of Kalimantan near Pontianak.
