Diagnosis
This is a highly variable dark greenish brown species with typical gonopterine forewing shape and fasciation. There are paler transverse bands basal to the antemedial and distal to the postmedial; both these fasciae are centrally dark but edged whitish on each side. Variation is mainly in the occurrence and breadth (1mm or 2mm) of a pale creamy white longitudinal delineation of vein CuA1 from the base to the postmedial and (correlated), whether the reniform is obscure, narrowly surrounded by pale delineation or enlarged, creamy white.
