Laspeyria viridicincta Hampson comb. n.

Diagnosis
The forewings are distinctly bifalcate. The ground colour is medium brown. The discal marks are black, bipunctate, though sometimes shaded more generally black, that of the forewing flanked by green antemedial and postmedial fasciae, and that of the hindwing only with a postmedial. The brown of the forewing grades darker slightly up to a sharp submarginal border with paler brown distad, this border being biarcuate in parallel with the distal margin.
Taxonomic note
The species was retained in Zethes Rambur by Poole (1989).
Geographical range
India, Peninsular Malaysia (Barlow colln), Borneo, Sulawesi.
Habitat preference
The species is infrequent in lowland forest, including heath forest and (Chey, 1994) secondary forest; a single specimen was taken in lower montane forest at 900m on the limestone G. Api during the Mulu survey.
