Diagnosis
The species is similar to L. ruficeps and L. sparsa but larger, with a deeper anterior excavation in the forewing margin. The colour is a darker, more ochreous brown than that of ruficeps, which is paler and more pink. The forewing fasciae are further apart than in ruficeps but similarly angled.
Geographical range
N.E. Himalaya, Peninsular Malaysia, Java, Borneo, Philippines.
Habitat preference
A single male has been taken in tall montane forest (now cleared) at 1500m at Mesilau on the Pinosuk Plateau of G. Kinabalu.
