Heterusinula dichroa Jordan
Eterusia dichroa Jordan, 1907, Gross-Schmett. Erde, 10: 33.
Diagnosis
This is a small species with the body and wing borders black, the wings otherwise pale yellow as mentioned in the generic account. It could be confused with some lithosiine arctiid species, particularly Pseudoscaptia rothschildi Draudt (Holloway, 2001: 329), but this has the yellow darker, the forewings narrower, and the hindwings are more acute apically. The wing venation also differs considerably.
Geographical range
N.E. Himalaya, Borneo.
Habitat preference
Bornean representation consists of a single specimen from Pulo Laut, a low-lying island in the south-east, another from 4th Mile, Rock Road in Sarawak and a third (in FRC, Sepilok) from Pensiangan Forest Reserve in the lowlands of Sabah.
