Exeliopsis macrouncus Holloway sp. n.

♂♂ 13-14mm. This is perhaps most similar in appearance to E. hibernaria but all three Bornean species have dark blackish grey wings with weakly darker discal spots and fasciation. In this species the hindwing discal spot is closer to the postmedial than to the antemedial. The species is distinguished from all other Oriental taxa by the large, ovate, apically acute uncus. The juxta is complex, but not of the rather tubular nature of that of the next two species. The costal sclerotisation of the valve broadens towards the apex, where it is down-flexed to terminate in a somewhat square, densely setose cucullus. The saccular sclerotisation is narrow, interiorly setose near the centre.

Borneo, Peninsular Malaysia (Penang), Sumatra.
