Episteira infirma Swinhoe comb. n.
Sauris infirma Swinhoe, 1902, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond., 1902: 654.
Diagnosis
The species is only slightly larger than Sauris eupitheciata with rather deep forewings with a distal margin less oblique than in some congeners. These are lightly fasciated with pale dark green. These fasciae are finely blackened in a few places: subbasally; irregularly posterior to the discal spot; more broadly submarginal. The hindwings have a moderate anal lobe in the male (females are not known), but the distal margin is unmodified.
Geographical Range
Borneo (Pulo Laut), Singapore.
Habitat Preference
Only two specimens are known, from the above localities, therefore this is likely to be a lowland species.
