Diagnosis
This species is larger than the next, the forewings a redder brown and slightly less mottled.
It is most reliably distinguished by the male genitalia where the prongs of the uncus are not centrally expanded and the costal lobe bearing setal bases does not extend beyond the more distal part of the valve distal margin.
Taxonomic Notes
This and the next species are probably sister-species.
Geographical range
Borneo.
Habitat preference
During the Mulu survey the species was taken infrequently in upper montane forest on G. Mulu and in lower montane forest on G. Api.
