Decticryptis producta Holloway sp. n.

♂♂, ♀♀ 5mm. The forewings are narrower and more produced apically than in deleta, such that the excavated anterior section of the margin is relatively oblique. The facies is more obscure than in deleta, reduced to shading at the apex of the forewing and over the fasciae, discal mark and medial area of the hindwing. Material from Ambon eastwards is more strongly marked and often has the medial zone of all wings shaded with grey. The angle of the forewing postmedial, when evident, is more basal and acute than in deleta (the truncation is present but oblique basad to the posterior), where it is truncated and occurs very close to the distal margin. In the male genitalia (slide 21370; Sumbawa) the uncus is more bulbous subapically than in deleta. The valves are relatively shorter with a shallower angle on the ventral margin. The costal spine and cucullus are shorter, more separated from each other, with the former longer than the latter rather than equal or shorter. In the female, the ductus seminalis has about twice as many spirals as in deleta, and the sclerotisation at the base of the corpus bursae is restricted to the area of origin of the ductus seminalis, rather than extending in a band to well beyond it.

Pulo Laut is a low-lying island to the south-east of Borneo.
