Diagnosis
The general appearance is as in Toxoproctis dyssema (See Toxoproctis dyssema), but the forewings are a more ochre-yellow, particularly towards the dorsum, and lack a sinuous, pale postmedial fascia. The male genitalia are distinctive as discussed in the next section.
Taxonomic notes
The male genitalia are not particularly consistent in features with those described for the genus, except for the aedeagus vesica spining. The valves are irregularly triangular but not cleft at all. The uncus is distinctive, with constricted sides, and possibly not homologous with the structures seen in the other species. The male paratype collected by Guichard and the concept of this species in Schintlmeister (1994) relate to (See Toxoproctis dyssema).

Habitat preference
The three males from G. Kinabalu taken in 1965in the original description were from 1200m, 1500m and 1620m.
