Chlumetia kinabalua Holloway sp. n.
Chlumetia transversa Walker; sensu Holloway, 1976: 16.
♀ 12mm, larger than Bornean congeners. The forewing medial area is a pale rufous brown in which the reniform and orbicular are ovoid, ringed black; the basal zone is dark, crossed by diffuse transverse dark fasciae; the submarginal shading is an entire band, edged distad by an irregular dentate white line. The species resembles C. multilineata Wileman & West (Luzon) in facies but the forewings are slightly shorter (cf. 13mm), deeper, with a broken marginal dark brown line (edged pale distad) rather than an entire one. The hindwing tornus lacks the diffuse paler brown submarginal bar of multilineata. The general structure of the genitalia is as in the euthysticha group, with two small pyriform signa centrally in the bursa; they are larger in kinabaluathan in multilineata; the apophyses of the 8th segment are obtusely triangular.
