Taxonomic note
The synonymy of ides follows a manuscript note by Lödl in 1997 in the BMNH curation and also Edwards in Nielsen et al. (1996), rather than Poole (1989); the taxon was formally transferred to Britha by Mayerl & Lödl (1999:118). The facies and genitalia of ides are as in biguttata, though there is variation in the apex of the right valve, which usually has a small subapical lobe ventrally.

Queensland, New Guinea, Bismarcks, Ambon, Sulawesi, Java, Borneo, Burma, Taiwan, Indian Subregion.
Habitat preference
Only old material from Sarawak has been seen, the one specimen with precise data being from Bidi, a lowland locality.
