Diagnosis

Only females are known. The disposition of black markings on the yellow forewing facies is diagnostic.

Taxonomic note

The venation shows no particularly distinctive departures from the general tribal pattern, but the genitalia have features as in A. cina, hence the combination with Artaxa.

Geographical range

Borneo.

Habitat preference

All three known specimens are from G. Kinabalu. The only one with altitude data was from 1500m on the Pinosuk Plateau of G. Kinabalu in a locality now cleared of forest.
